Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Tablr, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you may not use our platform.

2. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and password. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and keep it updated. You are solely responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Host Responsibilities & Liability

As a host, you are an independent operator and not an employee, agent, or partner of Tablr. By hosting an experience, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate descriptions of your dining experiences
  • Honor all confirmed bookings
  • Maintain proper food safety and health standards at all times
  • Comply with all applicable local, regional, and national laws and regulations regarding food preparation, service, and hygiene — including holding any required FAVV authorisation or notification
  • Treat all guests with respect and professionalism
  • Ensure your premises are safe, clean, and suitable for hosting guests

Hosts bear full and exclusive responsibility for the safety, quality, and legality of all food and beverages served during their experiences. This includes, without limitation, responsibility for food allergies, food poisoning, contamination, inadequate cooking, undisclosed ingredients, and any other health or safety incidents that occur before, during, or after an experience.

By becoming a host on Tablr, you expressly agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tablr, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your hosting activities, your food or beverages, or any incident occurring at your premises.

4. Guest Responsibilities

As a guest, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information at booking, including allergies and dietary restrictions
  • Arrive on time for your reservation
  • Treat the host and their property with respect
  • Not engage in disruptive or inappropriate behavior
  • Pay any outstanding à la carte tab in full before or immediately after the experience concludes

À la carte tab liability: By attending an experience and ordering à la carte items (drinks, desserts, bites), you agree to pay the full tab amount as closed by the host. Unpaid tabs constitute a debt owed to the host. Tablr reserves the right to suspend accounts with outstanding unpaid tabs and may pursue recovery through available legal or financial means on behalf of the host.

5. Payments and Fees

Tablr facilitates payments through Stripe. All prices are displayed in euros (€) before booking. Each booking includes a non-refundable booking fee of €5 + 2% of the experience price retained by Tablr as platform revenue. The remaining amount represents the experience price charged by the host. Hosts receive 100% of the experience price, paid out automatically 2 business days after the experience takes place.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

The booking fee (€5 + 2% of the experience price) is non-refundable under all circumstances. Refunds on the experience price are subject to the following schedule:

  • More than 7 days before: 100% refund of the experience price
  • 3–6 days before: 50% refund of the experience price
  • Less than 3 days before: No refund

Host payouts for cancelled bookings follow the same schedule: hosts receive the portion of the experience price not refunded to the guest, paid out automatically.

7. Limitation of Liability

Tablr is a technology platform that connects independent hosts with guests. Tablr does not prepare, serve, or supervise any food or beverages, and is not present at any dining experience.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tablr expressly disclaims all liability for any injury, illness, allergic reaction, food poisoning, property damage, death, or any other harm whatsoever arising from or related to a dining experience listed on the platform, regardless of cause. This includes but is not limited to incidents caused by food preparation, ingredients, cooking methods, hygiene standards, or the conduct of hosts or other guests.

Tablr is not liable for:

  • Any acts or omissions of hosts, including failure to disclose allergens or comply with food safety regulations
  • The accuracy of experience descriptions, menus, or ingredient information provided by hosts
  • Physical or health consequences of attending a dining experience
  • Disputes between hosts and guests
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

Guests and hosts both acknowledge that participation in dining experiences involves inherent risks, and both parties assume full responsibility for those risks. Tablr's total liability, in any event, shall not exceed the fees paid to Tablr in connection with the specific booking giving rise to the claim.

8. Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes between hosts and guests, both parties agree to attempt resolution through communication. If disputes cannot be resolved, Tablr may mediate or make determinations at its discretion.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Harass or discriminate against other users
  • Share false or misleading information
  • Attempt to bypass payment systems
  • Use the platform for illegal activities
  • Collect or share personal information without consent

10. Termination

Tablr reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in misconduct.

11. Changes to Terms

Tablr may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
